Award recognizes Experian's commitment to diversity and inclusion

COSTA MESA, Calif., Dec. 10, 2018 -- Recognizing Experian's commitment to creating a culture of diversity and inclusion, the Orange County Register named the global information services company the #1 Top Workplace for 2018. The award is based on employee feedback in a survey of hundreds of leading companies in Orange County, Calif.

"Our team members bring their own backgrounds, perspectives, and approaches to work, which together helps us make smarter decisions, develop better products and ultimately deliver more value to consumers," according to Craig Boundy, CEO of Experian North America. "This #1 ranking validates our commitment to embracing a truly inclusive culture where everyone has a real sense of belonging, knowing they can show up every day and be who they are, professionally and personally."

Experian celebrates its diversity through a range of fun and engaging cultural events, social clubs and volunteer opportunities with nonprofit organizations. This year several new Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) were formed to strengthen the feeling of community and belonging within Experian and provide beneficial outreach to its external communities. Examples include: Women in Experian group, Military Veterans & Patriots group, African-American group, Asian-American group, Hispanic and Latino group, Indian (Namaste) group, and Experian's Pride Network.

The company's employees work to help people do important things to improve their lives and realize their ambitions, such as buying a car or home, funding an education, growing a business, or protecting their identity. This commitment comes from the collective strength of Experian employees, who are constantly working to help create a better tomorrow for millions of people and businesses.

Experian is equally committed to giving back to the Orange County community. This includes setting-up volunteering opportunities for employees at Second Harvest Food Bank and the Blind Children's Learning Center, among other non-profit organizations. Recently, Experian also partnered with Giving Children Hope, to fill 1,300 backpacks with food for children in need.

Experian's culture of diversity and inclusion is also the driving force behind the company being named to Forbes' World's Most Innovative Companies list for the last several years.
