Franklin, Tenn., Sept. 10, 2015 — Experian Health, the healthcare-industry leader for comprehensive revenue-cycle products and services, today announced that it has achieved the top position on Modern Healthcare magazine’s 2015 By the Numbers listing of the largest revenue-cycle management firms.
“In this challenging economic environment, it is more important than ever to provide innovative technology and information services that help healthcare organizations improve their bottom line and remain competitive,” said Scott Bagwell, president of Experian Health. “We are thrilled to rank number one on the Modern Healthcare list. This placement illustrates our commitment to the revenue-cycle industry and underscores our dedication to empowering hospital and healthcare professionals with the insight they need to make informed, smart decisions.”
The By the Numbers list is ranked by the total number of healthcare revenue-cycle contracts for 2014. The data that creates the list is derived from a survey, and participating companies report a breakdown of contracts between comprehensive revenue-cycle and partial services. First published in 2012, the survey is open to U.S. firms that have dedicated practice areas and staff to address the needs of the healthcare revenue-cycle process. Modern Healthcare defined “revenue cycle” as all administrative and clinical functions that contribute to the capture, management and resolution of patient service revenue.
“The healthcare industry is a dynamic market with a complex payment system that is undergoing unprecedented change,” said Jennifer Schulz, group president of Experian’s vertical markets. “Experian Health provides an integrated end-to-end financial solution that helps to ease this change for healthcare providers by delivering unmatched payment certainty from a single partner. Topping the Modern Healthcare list is a testament to Experian’s dedication to the healthcare market and our strong foundation for growth. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”
