Experian Health ranks 44 on the Healthcare Informatics annual HCI 100 list
Franklin, Tenn., June 10, 2014 — Experian Health, a leading provider of revenue cycle products; consultative services; and data and analytics for health systems, hospitals and medical groups, today announced that it ranked 44th on the 2014 Healthcare Informatics (HCI) 100 list, an annual listing of the top 100 health information technology (HIT) companies.
Experian Health includes the capabilities from its most recent acquisition of Passport in the areas of orders and scheduling, patient access, claims and contract management, patient engagement, patient collections optimization, and population health management. This year’s ranking is an improvement from last year (prior to the acquisition), where it was in the 74th position. It is also an improvement for Passport, which ranked 65th on the 2013 list.
“We are again honored to be recognized among the top health information technology companies in this year’s HCI 100 list,” said Scott MacKenzie, president of Experian Health. “Our significant improvement in the rankings demonstrates Experian’s dedication to the healthcare industry. Through the combined strengths of Experian Health and Passport, we are able to deliver the tools and resources to healthcare professionals to support every facet of the revenue cycle, resulting in greater patient engagement, client-driven innovation and an accelerated collections process.”
The HCI 100 is an annual ranking of the top 100 health information technology (HIT) companies based on HIT revenue earnings from the most recent fiscal year. In collaboration with Porter Research and ST Advisors LLC, HCI reviews and analyzes company-reported sales figures, official financial filings, press releases and information from unrelated healthcare industry consultants to determine the most deserving companies.
