1 November 2013 – Experian, the global information services company, announces that it has divested the Colombia document outsourcing business of Experian Computec S.A. to Hermes Documentos S.A.S., a Colombian investor.
The business was acquired as part of the Computec acquisition in 2011 and is seen as non-core to Experian. The divestment frees up resources to focus on growing the core data and analytics businesses in Colombia, and to continue the development of other Experian products in this region.
Document outsourcing revenues for the year ended 31 March 2013 were US$40m (COP 72bn) and had been reported as part of the Latin America business.
