Kia Motors America teams with Experian Automotive to provide AutoCheck® vehicle history reports on all of its Certified Pre-Owned vehicles
AutoCheck reports on Kia Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are now available through participating Kia dealers and on third-party vehicle listing Websites, such as AutoTrader.com

Schaumburg, Ill., Jan. 13, 2011 — Experian Automotive today announced that Kia Motors America (KMA) is enhancing its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle program to include AutoCheck® vehicle history reports on 100 percent of Kia CPO vehicles. AutoCheck reports will now be available on Kia Certified Pre-Owned vehicles through Kia dealers participating in the Kia Certified Pre-Owned program and from third-party vehicle-listing Websites. Additionally, as part of the enhanced program, each AutoCheck report now will post a vehicle history event showing each car has been qualified under Kia’s Certified Pre-Owned process.

“Used car shoppers want transparency when it comes to understanding the history of a vehicle they intend to buy,” said Tom Loveless, vice president, sales, KMA. “Providing AutoCheck vehicle history reports on Kia’s Certified Pre-Owned vehicles to all of our dealers and Web partners helps increase customers’ confidence in the shopping process and provides them with the peace of mind that they are making the right vehicle purchase.”

The Kia Certified Pre-Owned program, which is administered by one of the largest independent finance and insurance leaders, JM&A Group, provides shoppers with access to AutoCheck vehicle history reports directly through used vehicle listings. AutoCheck reports allow shoppers to easily identify if the vehicle has any reported accidents, odometer issues, title brands, frame-damage announcements or other important information, which helps to increase their confidence in making a Kia-certified vehicle purchase.

Kia’s Certified Pre-Owned program offers comprehensive coverage for eligible used units (vehicles up to five years old with fewer than 60,001 miles that pass the required inspection). Benefits include a long-term, 10-year/100,000-mile certified power train limited warranty. Service contracts — which add to and complement existing coverage — also are available.
