Experian to provide range of credit risk and
customer management services to JD Williams

Nottingham, 12 November 2010 — Experian®, the global information services company, today announced that it has signed a five year deal in the UK with home shopping company JD Williams. The services provided by Experian will help JD Williams to better manage its customers, enabling it to continue to reduce risk and maximise the value from these relationships.

Experian will continue to provide consumer credit data to JD Williams, to be used throughout the customer lifecycle, and will be developing new scorecards to ensure that the data is used most effectively within new credit applications and ongoing customer management processes.

Furthermore, Experian’s services will enable JD Williams to maintain a single view of each customer’s range of commitments with the organisation across its range of brands.   It will also enable JD Williams to make appropriate new customer offers – in line with both customer needs and business objectives – at each stage in the relationship.

Graham Price, Head of Risk at JD Williams, comments: “This new agreement with Experian will ensure we have the best possible insight into the financial behaviour of each and every customer, and will enable us to adopt a more tailored approach to our interactions with our customers now and in the future.”

Nick Evans, Head of Customer Management at Experian, comments: “JD Williams is one of the first companies in the UK retail home shopping market to adopt such advanced customer management capabilities. We are confident that our range of data and analytics will enable JD Williams to achieve a significant and sustainable uplift to both sales and customer value.”
