Experian Appoints Shigeto Omori to lead Japanese Business

May 25, 2009 – Tokyo, Japan – Experian®, the global information services company, today announced that Shigeto Omori has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at Experian Japan KK.

Omori, whose career spans 35 years in Japan’s banking and finance sector, will report directly to Ken Sansom, President of Asia Pacific and interim-Managing Director of Japan. Ken Sansom commented: “We are delighted to have an experienced Japanese banking and finance professional to lead and expand our business in Japan. Omori possesses 35 years experience and has an impressive understanding of the markets our Japanese clients operate in.”

As head of Experian Japan KK, Omori will be responsible for expanding the company’s range of global risk management, credit services and marketing products in Japan.  He will also serve as a trusted advisor to Japanese government regulators during this time of change in the country’s money lending laws.

Omori started his banking career with Fuji (Mizuho), and took up business development positions in American Express and most recently, lead Shinsei Bank’s credit risk management team for its retail portfolio.
