Rapid growth for Experian’s Interactive division signals raft of new appointments

Former Tiscali Marketing Director joins Interactive division in senior management role

London, UK, 2 July 2008 - Experian®, the global information services company, has appointed Peter Turner as Director and General Manager of its CreditExpert service.  Prior to joining Experian, Peter was Business Marketing Director at Tiscali.  

In his new role, Peter will focus on developing the successful CreditExpert service to attract more customers and expand the range of products available.  CreditExpert is the UK’s leading online credit monitoring and identity fraud protection service (http://www.creditexpert.co.uk/).

Peter is one of a number of new appointments for Experian’s rapidly growing Interactive business in the UK, which includes the CreditExpert service in its portfolio of online consumer products.  The Interactive division reported a 95% increase in UK revenues in the last financial year up from $33m (£16.8m) in FY2006/07 to $68m (£34.6m).

Prior to Tiscali, Peter spent seven years at Freeserve in a number of senior positions.  During his time at Freeserve, Peter played an instrumental role in helping the company become the UK’s largest ISP and he also oversaw the company’s re-branding to become Wanadoo and its transition to Orange Home.

Alongside Peter Turner, other new appointments for Experian's Interactive division include:

·       Nathan Omare as Head of Customer Insight.  Nathan joins from Yahoo! where he most recently worked as Trade Research Manager. Nathan’s extensive experience has also helped shape online strategies for Visa and Vodafone.

·       David Williams as Product Marketing Executive.  David joins from Standard Chartered (Singapore) where he worked as Assistant Web Manager.

·       Lorraine Finlay, who will now lead CreditExpert’s new customer marketing team as Customer Marketing Manager.  Prior to her promotion, Lorraine was Online Marketing Manager.
