Experian's Cheetahmail Launches in Australia

Experian CheetahMail continues its global expansion and brings leading email marketing capabilities to Australia’s top enterprises

Sydney, Australia – 31st July 2008 – Experian®, the global information services company, today announced the launch of Experian CheetahMail in Australia. Used by many of the world’s largest consumer brands, Experian CheetahMail is a leading global provider of email marketing and customer intelligence technologies.

The decision to launch Experian CheetahMail in Australia is in response to the rising demand from the country’s leading enterprises for access to more sophisticated and personalised digital marketing capabilities. Working for some of world’s top brands, Experian CheetahMail helps marketers combine the power of data with the efficacy of the email channel to connect and engage with their customers.

Drew Parkes, Digital Marketing Manager for Xbox, says: “We use Experian CheetahMail to converse with over 200,000 consumers, both current Xbox 360 owners and potential new owners, each month. Being able to provide relevant, targeted and timely communications is crucial to our business and to our members.”

“We look to understand and deliver content based upon their profile, preferences and most importantly their behaviour. Experian CheetahMail ensures that our members get the news, product reviews, game releases, promotions and offers most relevant to them. And more relevancy means higher conversion and increased LTV (Life Time Value) to the business.”

John Merakovsky, General Manager, Experian CheetahMail Australia is responsible for growing Experian CheetahMail’s business in the region. Merakovsky brings a wealth of experience to Experian CheetahMail in developing enterprise technology businesses from start-ups to leaders in their market. Previously, Merakovsky was the founder and former CEO of Southrock Corporation Limited, Australia’s leading developer of enterprise Human Capital Management software.

“Marketers in Australia are eager to increase the effectiveness of their permission-based email marketing efforts through improved deliverability and better targeting and personalisation tools,” said Merakovsky. “Consumers here are extremely receptive to online communications from the brands they know and trust, it’s our job to make the connection and help grow the relationship.

Experian CheetahMail sends permission-based emails on behalf of its customers in over 40 languages and has offices throughout the US, France, Spain, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

“We have a clear aim to deliver top level support and service to new and existing customers across the globe,” added Matt Seeley, president of Experian CheetahMail. “I have high expectations that our team in Australia will significantly aid in this effort and help Australia’s top brands develop the most relevant and strategic email programs possible.”
