Claire Murphy was appointed Chief Corporate Governance Officer and Group Company Secretary of Experian plc on 1 October 2026, having joined Experian as Deputy Company Secretary in April 2025.

Experience

Claire has extensive experience in corporate governance, company secretarial and regulatory matters, gained predominantly in London-based roles with FTSE 100 companies. Before joining Experian, she was Deputy Company Secretary at Anglo American plc, where she co-led the London company secretarial team and advised on corporate governance, listing obligations, Board and committee matters, shareholder matters and significant corporate transactions. She previously held company secretarial and governance roles at RSA Insurance Group plc in London and RSA Insurance Ireland Limited in Dublin.

Skills and contribution

Claire is a solicitor qualified in Ireland and England and Wales and a Chartered Governance Professional. She holds a Master’s degree in Management and Corporate Governance from Ulster University, postgraduate qualifications in law from BPP Law School and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Social Policy from University College Dublin.
