Experian’s Power Curve™ Strategy Management for Originations enables Volkswagen Doğuş Finans to enhance capacity with existing resources. Non-performing loan ratio is realised as 0.1% for applications assessed automatically

7 March 2016, Istanbul – Volkswagen Doğuş Finans, the leading consumer auto finance company in Turkey, has improved its application processing capacity by 25%, while maintaining the existing resources.

Thanks to Experian’s PowerCurve Strategy Management for Originations, Volkswagen Doğuş Finans has been able to process a higher volume of applications, with 50% being processed automatically on day one of the implementation. The company also found that 16 months of implementation, their non-performing loan ratio is realized as 0.1% for applications assessed automatically.

Volkswagen Doğuş Finans Operations and Credit Assessment Manager Esra Acaruşağı, said: “Our aim was to be able to process more applications while minimizing IT dependency and keeping resources unchanged.  One year after the implementation of Experian’s PowerCurve solution, I’m very pleased to see that we have not only reached and surpassed our targets, but also enhanced our customer service, and improved our efficiency.”

Experian performed a thorough analysis of Volkswagen Doğuş Finans’ existing credit risk management practices, including the processes, systems, tools, and strategies already in place across Volkswagen Doğuş Finans’ lending portfolios.

Leveraging relevant data, Volkswagen Doğuş Finans has gained powerful insight and a deeper understanding of each applicant’s risk exposure, indebtedness and profitability. This has allowed Volkswagen Doğuş Finans to promote responsible lending and improve the time to decision for customers, while offering them the most appropriate loans and services.

Experian Eastern Europe, Turkey & Middle East Market President and General Manager Cenker Özhelvacı, said:“Being able to respond more quickly to dynamic market conditions, evolve lending strategies and changing regulations is a key current challenge for organisations. Our consultants have developed an in-depth understanding of the existing credit underwriting procedures for customer acquisition, particularly the use of databases, scorecards and decision trees.  This means that we are best placed to help well established organizations like Volkswagen Doğuş Finans enhance their capacity and meet all their requirements within their existing resources.”
