Data management industry veteran joins Experian to support vision of helping clients achieve actionable data insights

Experian Data Quality, a leading provider of data quality software and services, today announced the appointment of Coman Wakefield to head Global Software Engineering.

Wakefield has more than 20 years of industry experience focused on leading the architecture, design and development of successful enterprise software products around the world. His technical management background brings a unique level of expertise to a continually expanding business.

Wakefield comes to Experian Data Quality from Magnitude Software, where he led a global team of architects and directors as vice president of engineering across Magnitude’s various brands. Most notably, he set up the One Magnitude engineering project office to attain common standards and tooling across the product brands, enabling the integration of a new company within 30 days.

Prior to joining Magnitude Software, Wakefield was a founding member of Kalido, where he directed all product development activities for the Kalido product suite and held full responsibility for design, implementation and quality assurance. Additionally, Wakefield held a management position at Shell, where he managed a team of engineers developing and implementing bespoke systems.
