Moscow, 26 November 2015 – Işbank, Turkey’s largest privately owned bank and the biggest Turkish bank in Russia, has implemented Experian’s PowerCurve Originations system across its whole network in Russia.

Işbank’s application processing is now automated across its four lending segments: credit cards, consumer loans, automotive loans and mortgages.

Ozan Gur, Head of Retail Loans Department at Işbank, said: “PowerCurve Originations has given us a unique, fast and reliable underwriting system.  Previously, all our loan originations and underwriting processes were manual and we were connected to one single bureau. The results varied from one underwriter to another and a single application took more than two days to be finalised. Now we are connected to the three main bureaus of Russia and we can turn an application around in several minutes.”

Experian’s PowerCurve Originations, which was implemented between August and October this year, is now being used by every single branch of the bank in Russia.  As a result, Işbank can exercise greater control over the lending process at each step, from submission of a loan application to the point the loan is paid out.

Maxim Chistyakov, Head of Risk Technology Development and Underwriting at Işbank, added: “On top of successfully and easily implementing the tool across our whole network in a short time, we now have a toolkit that enables us to easily manage the application decisioning process and quickly respond to changes in the retail lending market.”

Stephen Gildert, Managing Director for Experian Russia and the CIS, stated: “The needs and demands of the market we find ourselves in are making it extremely challenging for banks to operate effectively while giving their customers the best service.  PowerCurve Originations has been developed to easily help clients take full control over all lending processes, providing a single interface for setting up processes, workflows and decisioning logic.

“We are proud to see the EMEA region’s first implementation of PowerCurve Originations in Russia.  We are particularly pleased that it is with such a dynamically developing international bank, rich in traditions and very customer-oriented.  We look forward to developing our relationship with Işbank.”

“We are also working with Experian in Türkiye İş Bankası and we have had seen good results.  We know the software is very user-friendly.  As we grow our business, we are planning to expand our work with Experian to help address our marketing challenges too,” concludes Ozan Gur.
