Costa Mesa, Calif., September 17, 2015 — Experian Data Breach Resolution today announced that The Forrester Wave™: Customer Data Breach Notification And Response Services, Q3 2015, has positioned Experian in the leader segment. The report by Forrester Research, Inc. covering the customer data breach industry independently evaluated vendors’ current offering, strategy and market presence to score the top players in the market.

The report reflects the growing data breach notification and response industry and increased importance of breach service providers to businesses. Each vendor was evaluated in 23 different areas, with Experian scoring the top marks possible in several categories, including response scale, call center, identity monitoring and remediation and credit monitoring and remediation.

“Experian is the most experienced data breach provider in the market; we’ve serviced some of the largest and most complex breaches in the United States and leverage that advantage to better meet every client’s needs,” said Guy Abramo, president, Experian Consumer Services. “We are proud to have been named a leader, but this report, in our opinion, only scratched the surface. Breaches are very disruptive, they carry great reputational risk, and circumstances are never the same. We are extremely comfortable operating in that environment, which is exactly why our clients rely on us.”

“We believe the publication of this report reflects the evolution of data breaches and their significant impact on corporate America and consumers,” said Michael Bruemmer, vice president of Experian Data Breach Resolution. “As a result, it is imperative for companies today to have a data breach preparedness plan, which includes securing the best response partners and identity theft protection provider.”

Several milestones the company has reached reinforce Experian’s stature as a leading provider of data breach services. Launched more than a decade ago, the Data Breach Resolution group has now handled nearly 15,000 breaches and more than 170,000 consumer fraud cases. These breaches include some of the highest-profile incidents in history, including two of the three largest healthcare breaches this year. Millions of consumers have been affected and are receiving identity and credit monitoring by Experian’s award-winning ProtectMyID® product.

“While we are pleased with our position, we are especially gratified with the highest score possible in client satisfaction and identity monitoring and remediation because, for us, that means we are meeting the expectations of our clients and consumers who use our products,” added Bruemmer.
