Objectives and performance 

We set targets related to our CR strategy and for each of our six key responsibilities. We have two KPIs that are included in our annual report, tracking our carbon footprint and our employee engagement.

Our performance section of the CR report and the corporate responsibility section of the annual report give you a full picture of our progress year on year.

Third party benchmarks

Experian

  • is a member of the FTSE4Good. This is an investable index of companies judged by FTSE to meet published criteria in their social and environmental management and performance.
  • is included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, World and STOXX (European) index for 2009/10. This index comprises the leading companies in terms of sustainability from across the world. You can read the full DJSI report here.
  • regularly responds to the Carbon Disclosure Project, which is an investor-led initiative to standardise and promote company reporting on climate change issues. Experian’s response is published on the CDP website. Its UK operations are accredited to ISO14001 standard.
  • is accredited by Business in the Community, a UK charity that inspires, engages, supports and challenges companies on responsible business working. Experian was awarded three Big Ticks for its work in building sustainable partnerships with schools to the benefit of pupils aged 5-19 years in the UK and its innovative partnerships between business and the third sector.
  • has its CR report assured by PricewaterhouseCoopers. It is a limited assurance in accordance with International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3000 (Revised) — 'Assurance Engagements other than Audits and Reviews of Historical Financial Information' issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board ("ISAE 3000").
