Experian wins ‘Most Admired’ Business Support Services company at Management Today awards

London, 4 December 2013 – Experian, the global information services company, is proud to announce it has won the Business Support Services category at Management Today’s Britain’s Most Admired Companies (BMAC) awards held last night in Central London.

Matthew Gwyther, Editor, Management Today, said: “Experian is a business which responded to a growing customer need through the financial crisis by diversifying into new sectors beyond its roots in financial services and has quickly won the trust of market participants across the board. The Britain’s Most Admired Companies awards have become something of a gold standard in identifying which UK businesses have won the respect and trust of the business community.”

The BMAC Awards recognise companies whose on-going commitment to excellence has seen them produce great results and gain market share. The awards, which have been running for more than two decades, are an important indicator of the highest performing companies in British business that embed excellence throughout their organisation. Out of 247 companies listed in the BMAC league, Experian came 14th overall, up from 21st place in 2012.

The BMAC awards are a peer review of corporate reputation, assessing nine criteria: quality of management, quality of goods and services, quality of marketing, financial soundness, value as a long-term investment, community & environmental responsibility, ability to attract, develop & retain top talent, use of corporate assets and capacity to innovate. In conjunction with Birmingham City Business School, Management Today canvasses the opinions of 200 of the UK’s largest companies and as such, they are the only awards of their type in the UK.
